Every body has a story. Before we can heal, we have to learn how to listen.
Long before Good 4 You became a clinic, it was a way of seeing the world. I grew up in London, Ontario, after my family immigrated to Canada from Montevideo, Uruguay in 1969. Natural healthcare wasn't something I discovered later in life, it was simply part of my childhood.
My father was a respected chiropractor, entrepreneur, and herbalist whose passion for helping others shaped the way I viewed health from an early age. On Saturday mornings, while most children were sleeping in or playing with friends, I could often be found at his clinic, helping wherever I was needed. I watched him care for people with compassion, curiosity, and an unwavering desire to understand why they weren't well.
If I came home with a headache or a stomachache, an adjustment was often all it took before I was back outside playing again. As I grew older, I watched his practice evolve. He began introducing vitamins and nutritional supplements to support his patients' health, and before long, herbs became a natural extension of the care he provided.
At the time, I thought every family lived this way. It wasn't until years later that I realized my childhood had given me a very different perspective on health—one that would quietly shape the rest of my life.
Like many young adults, my path wasn't always straightforward. Life presented challenges that taught me resilience and independence at an early age. During that time, I worked in retail to support myself while trying to determine what direction my future would take. One afternoon, while visiting my father at his home, I noticed a brochure on the front hall table for a herbal medicine program. I asked if I could take it home.
That simple brochure changed my life.
I enrolled in the program and immersed myself in learning anatomy, physiology, nutrition, vitamins, minerals, and herbal medicine. My curiosity only continued to grow. I went on to study iridology, muscle testing, introductory homeopathy, and other natural approaches to understanding the remarkable ways the body communicates.
One system fascinated me more than any other: the digestive system. I became captivated by the realization that the body's systems are deeply interconnected. When digestion isn't functioning well, it can influence energy, nutrient absorption, inflammation, immune function, and countless other aspects of health. I began to understand that symptoms rarely exist in isolation—they are often part of a much larger story.
In 1998, I opened Good 4 You. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. Working from inside a local health food store, I began building my practice one client at a time using iridology, muscle testing, and personalized herbal recommendations. While my clients appreciated the care they received, I found myself searching for a way to better understand what each person's body truly needed. Around that same time, my father was asking similar questions.
He believed there had to be a more precise way to select herbs than simply making educated recommendations. That question led to years of research exploring bioenergetic testing and its potential to evaluate the body's energetic responses. The results were remarkable.
When I had the opportunity to train in this approach, I immediately recognized its potential. It combined everything I had learned over the years with a more comprehensive way of understanding the body's unique needs. As my confidence grew, I transitioned my practice to this method and began developing the personalized approach that has become the foundation of Good 4 You... today.
Several years later, another defining moment came during a leadership seminar that challenged me to think differently about my future. I realized I wasn't simply following in my father's footsteps—I was building upon the foundation he had created while developing a philosophy and approach that were uniquely my own.
That realization changed everything.
Rather than offering a wide variety of services, I chose to focus on doing one thing exceptionally well: helping people better understand what their bodies were trying to communicate. Over the years, I refined what is now our signature approach—a comprehensive bioenergetic assessment that combines advanced bioenergetic testing with personalized herbal formulations, nutritional evaluation, and individualized wellness recommendations.
Today, nearly three decades later, that mission remains unchanged.
At Good 4 You, we believe that health isn't about chasing symptoms. It's about understanding the whole person and recognizing that every system in the body is connected. Our role isn't to tell your body what to do. Our role is to help you understand what it has been trying to say all along.
Every body has a story.
We're here to help you listen.
